Frank_Architecture

For my last photo assignment I did architecture. For this assignment it was hard to get a interesting picture with just a roof, but I took pictures of my neighbors houses also. I liked doing architecture but it was to hard to do for me, because I was nervous crawling around on the roof.
My favorite picture is when I was on the roof and I took a picture of little area of my roof were its like a hide away. I like this picture because of the two sides of my roof then the roof going up.

Favorite Photo: ISO 200 Shutter 1/90 F-stop f/2.8

Frank_portrait demo

For this demo assignment I thought that it was pretty easy to do. The only hard part about it was having the light shine through the window and having it shine on the persons face. Taking a picture in the studio was easy because the light was shining everywhere and I didn't have to worry about having a shadow on one side of he persons face.

photo #7 inspiration

For my last photo assignment I want to do motion. My plan is to take a picture of my friend Graham playing hockey. I have seen some really awesome pictures of the puck flying through the air and the players skating and stuff.I think that I can make this my best photo assignment yet. I don't think that it will be to hard once I get going on it.

Frank_portrait

For this photo assignment I took portrait pictures. I had a lot of fun because they were pictures of my family. It was kinda hard to work with young children, and hard to make then stay and look at the camera, but after a while I started to follow them around and took pictures of them doing what they normally do. I thought that this would be really hard to do but as I started to take the pictures it turned out to be really easy.

Favorite Photo: ISO 200 F-stop f/5.6 exposure 1/350 sec

Frank_context

For this context I took a picture of one of the hall ways at school and I thought that it would be funny to see farm animals in the hallways. I had a lot of fun putting the animals in and moving them around to make a funny but at the same time good picture. I learned even more how to erase and layer the photos. This was one of my favorite gimp projects.

Motion Demo

I learned in this assignment that motion is really hard to do. Its hard to focus on the ground and take the picture when the object is moving really fast. I had a hard time knowing when to take the picture and how to make it blurry without everything becoming blurry. Maybe if I had more time and if I was not that cold I could focus better.

Frank_5 sences ( touch)

I did one of the five sences, I did touch. This photo assignment was kinda hard, it was hard to come up with a creative picture only using your hand, so I added some color, like one picture I was tolding a scarf, petting my dog and another I was touching the carpet and the walls. For my favortie picture I put my hand up against the wall and I opened the front door to have the sun shine in and I took the picture. I think that this photo came out very good and pretty.

My favorite:
f-stop 4.8 ISO 200 shutter 1/700

I learned that this assignment was hard. It was hard not to move in the picture and to make all of the photos work and look good together. In my photos you can tell were the lines are but i restarted 5 times before and i didn't have time to restart again. I think that if i had more time to do this assignment then i could make it better and learn how to not move in the picture and not have lines in my photos

Frank_Still Life

For my fourth photo assignment I did still life. I chose to do glass because glass is pretty and clear. There are so many ways for glass to be placed. It was cool and there were so many different ways that I can move and lay the glasses, I think that the pictures came out very pretty. For my favortie picture I put all of the glasses together and moved them around to get the perfect picture. They look very pretty and shiny and they all have different heights.

Frank_car

Editing for me was a little hard, the cloning was hard and different for me. I learned a lot more about this assignment now, so if i have to use this in the future I think i will be able to do it and understand it better now. This was the first thing that i have ever edited and it was fun, i would do it again.

Frank_Texture

I did texture for my third photo assignment. It was a little hard for me in my house to find texture of objects, but once I started to look around and went outside I found a lot of stuff. However my favorite picture is the one that I took when I was outside, its of my dads trailer. Its the front part and it shows the texture very well. It has little shapes that pops out and it has a texture feel to it. I picked this picture as my favorite because I thought it best describes texture.

My Favorite Picture:

Frank_animal

I took pictures of animals. The animals that I got were my dog, cat and my neighbors dogs and cat. I had a really hard time to try and keep them still, they kept moving and running all over the place. As the animals started to move and run around I moved with them, some pictures were taken at ground level and some from high up. The hardest pictures that I took were the ones with the puppy, Lily she was crazy. My favorite picture that I took was the one were my neighbors dog Lily is on the ground rolling around. She looks really cute and it shows that she's an animal.

Frank_Nature

I took pictures of nature. When I think of nature I think of natural. In my backyard I have woods and I went back there and took a lot of pictures of plants, trees and of the creek in my woods. It didn't take me too long to start seeing good spots to take a picture. My favorite picture that I took was the one in my front yard and I saw some red berries. The color of the berries is bright and the grass in the back is a bright green, but with the grey/brown tree there it makes all of the other colors pop out. I had a really hard time trying to narrow it down to just 20 pictures, but once I started to look at the photo and see how I could make it better,so I deleted the photo.

I shot my best photo at an iso of 100, fstop f/5.5, and shutter speed of 1/100 sec.

Composition Assignment 2

For perspective photo, I took a picture me and my friends, I had someone take the picture by standing on the third floor.
For my balance photo I was standing on the lunch table on one leg and trying to balance.
My color picture I put the trash bins all together and I put a bright yellow on in, next tot the grey ones, so the yellow color will pop.
Framing I took a picture of the microwave, and around the microwave is a shelf that is framing it.
For space I had my friends stand at the end of the hall and I took a picture of them, as you can see there is a lot of space.

Composition Assignment 1

In this assignment we took 6 different types of photos. They were pattern, lines, Depth of Field, symmetry, texture and rule of thirds. Each picture has to represent one of these types of photos.

For texture I have water moving around in the sink. I choose the water because it had the perfect ripples. Pattern I took a picture of the carpet in the tall, the carpet had the perfect patterns. Lines I got the stairs, on the stairs there are perfect lines that are in the same spot every time. Depth of Field I took a picture of my shoes and in the background it was all fuzzy and you cant tell what it is. Symmetry I took a picture of a hallway and it goes really far. Rule of thirds I took a picture of the liberty windows and it shows rule of thirds very well.

From this assessment I learned how to take better pictures, using the 6 different types for photos. I also learned how to take a better picture over all.
